פרחי קיפודן — או פרחי שום, שנראים כמעט אותו דבר — חוזרים שוב ושוב ביצירה שלי. משהו בצורה הכדורית המושלמת שלהם פשוט מושך אותי. בציור זה שילבתי אותם עם פרחי שדה נוספים בפלטה רגועה ועדינה, עם נגיעות של צבע מטאלי שמשנה את עוצמתו בהתאם לזווית האור.

Allium flowers — or wild garlic, which looks almost identical — keep finding their way into my paintings. Something about their perfect spherical shape simply draws me in. In this piece I combined them with other wildflowers in a calm, delicate palette, with touches of metallic paint that shift in intensity depending on the angle of light.
